Hey design lovers! Today, I'm thrilled to share a project close to my heart: our guest bathroom makeover! This little space was in desperate need of some TLC. It lacked personality and felt, well, a bit generic. But with a focus on a statement wallpaper and some clever budget tweaks, we've transformed it into a tranquil yet playful haven for our guests.

The Inspiration: A Bespoke Wallpaper Oasis

As a designer, I knew I wanted the walls to be the star of the show. I craved a design that was calming yet full of life, something that would spark conversation and create a truly unique atmosphere. That's when the idea for bespoke wallpaper struck! I designed a pattern that incorporated calming natural elements – think soft greens and blues – with a touch of whimsy.

Think colourful birds perched on branches, and playful peacocks fanning themselves amongst the foliage beside exotic bandstands and tall towering garden ornaments. This custom design became the focal point, instantly elevating the space and setting the tone for the entire makeover.

Budget-Friendly Bathroom Bliss

Now, let's talk about keeping things budget-conscious. While the wallpaper was a splurge (and worth every penny!), we saved in other areas. The original shower was perfectly functional, so we gave it a good scrub and glass surface refurbish and kept it. Instead, we focused on updating the vanity. A sleek, modern design with clean lines added a touch of luxury without breaking the bank.

We also swapped out the old hardware for new brushed brass tape ware and towel rails. These small changes made a huge impact, instantly modernising the space and complementing the cool tones of the wallpaper.

Above the shower there was a need for something more waterproof than wall paper, and i opted for the Peel & Stick Hub. The main reason being I wanted complimenting blue/green in the wall paper and if I did ceramic tiles I would have opted for something more neutral and timeless to cater for future reno updates.

The end result? A guest bathroom that's both inviting and unforgettable. The bespoke wallpaper creates a serene atmosphere, while the pops of whimsy add a touch of fun.

The updated vanity and hardware complete the look, creating a space that feels polished and put-together. We're so happy with how it turned out, and we know our guests will love staying in this little oasis!
