How long does a perm last?
Between three and six months depending on your hair type, the type of perm and how you look after it. With proper maintenance you get months of wear out of it.
How do I look after permed hair?
Avoid washing for at least 48 hours, then use sulphate-free, moisturising products made for curly or permed hair. Regular conditioning and limited heat styling keep curls fresh.
What types of perm do you offer?
Everything from tight spiral curls to loose body waves. At your consultation we discuss your hair type, lifestyle and the look you want, then recommend the perm that suits.
Will it damage my hair?
Modern perming solutions are much gentler than they used to be, and your hair's health comes first. We assess condition before starting and give you aftercare to protect it.
How long does the appointment take?
Typically two to three hours depending on the style and your hair's length and thickness. We will estimate at your consultation.
Can men get perms?
Absolutely, and increasingly they do. The top perm is a favourite — a stylish, modern look with added definition through the top.
Can I perm colour-treated hair?
Often yes, but it depends on your hair's health and strength. We will assess and may recommend strengthening treatments beforehand.
Can I straighten permed hair sometimes?
Yes, temporarily with a dryer or straightener — though we recommend limiting heat styling so the curl does not loosen over time. Wash and style as usual to bring the curl back.
When can I wash it?
Wait 48 hours before washing or using styling products. That downtime lets the perm set and gives the best long-term result.
